Description of this Plymouth Road Runner 1974
Thank you for viewing my vehicle. I have alow reserve set for a fully restored Road Runner. It was sold, but the auction ended in the midst of Hurricane Irma. Our internet service and cell service was down for several days, so I was not able to communicate with the buyer in a timely manner. Therefore, the buyer purchased another vehicle.
The mileage will be slightly higher because I drive it quite regular.
This vehicle is the first classic I've ever owned and I never thought I'd sellit. When it came time to spending money on her I spared no expense. I poured more money than the average American makes in one year into this vehicle. This vehicle is in amazing condition.
Solid body, no rust, and no bondo. It has the Hurst 4-speed manual transmissionwith factory a/c andlow original miles. It's1 of only 280 ever manufactured. It's equipped with modern comforts such as MP3, IPhone, Bluetooth, and Satellite Radio. Billet Aluminum Wheels cost $386 a piece. All add-ons such as the stereo system can be removed for the pure collector.
Points For Consideration
Check the BJ 2014 auction records for a 74 Road Runner painted lemon twist. It sold for $50,850.00. It had 60k on the OD. It was not a 4-speed, not the original color, and it did not have the original engine. Even the bumpers were painted. This is not a #1 Concours vehicle, but it is a solid #2 graded in Excellent condition. The Hagerty Valuation Tool puts this vehicle as a base model at $43.5K, but it receives a 15% bump for being a 4-Speed with the Hurst Pistol Grip, and another 10% bump for having the high performance engine for that year.Only 280 of these were produced with the 4-speed 440 or 400 in 1974. Yes, they made a 440 that year (if you doubt that statement then refer to the 2014 Hemmings article titled One Rare Bird). If you're the winning bidder please follow the payment instructions to the "t" because if you do not pay the total balance within the specified timeframe I will not refund your deposit. You will receive negative feedback, and I will relist the vehicle.I reserve the right to sell my property to the person(s) of my choice. Finally, I reserve the right to end the auction early...
